Introducing Workspaces: The Hub for Group Productivity

We've completely reimagined how you manage multiple groups in Taskbit. Say hello to your new productivity command center.

Taskbit Workspaces Interface

Since we launched Taskbit, our goal has been simple: help groups get things done together. Whether it’s a family planning groceries, a startup managing a launch, or friends organizing a trip, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do.

But as your projects grow, so does the chaos. You needed a better way to separate your "Work" life from your "Home" life, without logging in and out of different accounts.

That’s why today, we’re thrilled to introduce Workspaces.

What are Workspaces?

Think of a Workspace as a dedicated home for a specific group of people and their shared lists. Instead of having one giant list of checklists mixed together, Workspaces let you create distinct environments for different contexts.

  • Context Switching

Instantly toggle between your "Family" workspace and your "Marketing Team" workspace. Keep your grocery lists separate from your sprint plans.

  • Admin Controls

As a workspace owner, you have full control. Managed permissions allow you to decide who can invite members, create new lists, or edit settings.

  • Seamless Sharing

Invite members once to the workspace, and they automatically get access to the relevant shared lists within it. No more sharing links for every single new checklist.

How to Use Workspaces

Getting started is intuitive. If you're an existing user, your current lists have been automatically moved into your first default workspace.

  1. Create a New Workspace: Tap the workspace switcher in the top-left corner of the sidebar and select "Create Workspace".
  2. Invite Team Members: Go to Workspace Settings and generate an invite link. Anyone who joins gets instant access to the collaboration hub.
  3. Convert Lists to Workspaces: Have a big project that outgrew a simple list? You can now convert any normal checklist directly into a full-featured workspace.
  4. Organize with Folders: Within your workspace, create folders to group related checklists (e.g., "Q1 Goals" or "Trip Itinerary").

Workspaces + AI 🧠

We've also upgraded our AI to be workspace-aware. When you ask Taskbit AI to "create a checklist for the launch," it now understands the context of the workspace you are in.

"Workspaces isn't just a feature; it's a new foundation for how teams collaborate on Taskbit."

This update is rolling out today to all users on Web, iOS, and Android. Pro users get unlimited workspaces and advanced permission controls.
