By accessing or using Taskbit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this service.
Description of Service
TaskBit is a collaborative checklist platform for groups. Our service includes:
- Private and shared workspaces, lists, sections, and tasks
- Real-time collaboration, invites, and notifications
- Optional AI features to generate and update checklists (Pro)
- Cross-device synchronization and public read-only sharing
User Accounts
Account Creation
You sign in with Google via Firebase Authentication. We receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google — not your Google password. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to use TaskBit.
Account Responsibility
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any security breach.
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in any fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
- Infringe upon or violate the rights of others
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
- Use the service to transmit malware or malicious code
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Impersonate any person or entity
User Content
Ownership
You retain all rights to the content you create and store in Taskbit. We do not claim ownership of your tasks, checklists, or any other content you submit.
License
By using our service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services.
Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your content and the consequences of posting or publishing it. We are not liable for any content created by users.
Subscription and Payment
Free and Paid Plans
Taskbit offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid features require a valid payment method and are billed according to the plan you select.
Billing
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel your subscription.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Refunds
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscriptions. Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of your initial purchase.
AI Features
Our AI features use third-party models to assist with checklists. Suggestions may be inaccurate — review before relying on them. Optional memory, learning, and collective intelligence settings are available in the app and described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
The Taskbit service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Taskbit and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Taskbit is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taskbit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.
Data Backup
While we implement backup procedures, you are responsible for maintaining your own backup copies of any important data. We are not liable for any data loss.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through our service. Your continued use after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
